Assistant Professor of Finance

College of Business and Administration and

Graduate School of Business Administration

Nature of Work:
Research, teach and perform service functions in finance and related disciplines as a tenure-track member of the faculty of the College of Business.

Professional Field:
College of Business, Accounting, Finance and Information Systems (AFIS) Team.

Supervision Received:
This position reports to the Dean of the College of Business.

Supervision Exercised:
May supervise student research or teaching assistants.

Examples of Work Performed:  

• Conduct research leading to publication in finance and other business related fields
• Teach graduate and undergraduate finance and/or other business classes as agreed upon with the AFIS Team Leader.
• Perform assigned service activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Current knowledge of the finance theory and practice.
• Current knowledge in research methodology in finance.
• Practical teaching skills.
• Administrative skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• ABD in Finance from accredited university.
• Must complete PhD within one year of hiring. 
• Potential for teaching finance or related business courses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Finance from an AACSB accredited university.
• Demonstrated success in teaching finance or related business courses.
