of Building Successful Futures in the Management of Sport."

Mission
Our mission is to prepare students to become the next generation of leaders in the sport management industry through education and training that imparts the knowledge, skills, and experience essential for providing increased enjoyment and rewarding participation within the wide and varied world of sport.

Welcome to the web site of the Sport Management program in the College of Business at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Enjoying the distinction of being recognized by United States Olympic Committee, the Sport Management program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs has quickly emerged as one of the premier majors on campus. Designed as a program of distinction, we provide an AACSB accredited management education to students with a broad range of sports interests.

Located at the base of Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs arguably offers the best location in the country to pursue a degree in sport management. In addition to the USOC headquarters and training center, Colorado Springs is home to twenty national sport governing bodies including: USA Hockey, USA Volleyball, USA Basketball, USA Swimming, USA Wrestling, USA Cycling and US Figure Skating to name just a few.

Colorado Springs is also home to the Sports Corporation – host of the State Games of America, the Sky Sox AAA baseball team, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Mountain West Conference, National Junior College Athletic Association, as well as major college sports programs including the Air Force Academy, Colorado College, and UCCS's fast rising collegiate athletics program.

Only an hour's drive north in Denver are seven highly successful professional teams including the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Rockies, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Crush and of course the Denver Broncos. And finally, Colorado Springs lies within easy driving distance of the country's best skiing, hiking, fly fishing, rafting, and mountain biking.

Multiple internship and work opportunities are available to students enrolled in the Sport Management program due to the proximity of these and other prominent sports organizations to our campus. In addition, our students will have access to managers in these clubs and organizations during their on-campus classroom experiences.

Each candidate’s application will be processed promptly so that prospective students will know their status with the program. We are now accepting applications for the up-coming semester.
