Mini-MBA FAQs

What is the program format?

The Mini-MBA program is held on a weekly basis, meeting one-time per week for 13 weeks. All class sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Participants are expected to apply their knowledge in a capstone project immediately following the 13-week course schedule (December 14, 2021 - March 8, 2022). The program will culminate with a final event and project presentation on March 8, 2022. The Mini-MBA program consists of the following elements to create a strong learning environment:

  • Lecture
  • Discussion
  • Interactive exercises
  • Real-world examples
  • Hands-on learning
  • Real-time implementation of tools and strategies
Is the Mini-MBA program right for me?

The UCCS Mini-MBA is designed for individuals with or without business background. The program is recommended for those who are building their professional pathway, seeking advancement opportunities and/or are transitioning into a different career. Those who are considering a graduate business degree (MBA or MSA) in the future would benefit from the program.

Does this program count towards a college degree?

The UCCS Mini-MBA does not count towards a college degree program (undergraduate or graduate) and is not intended to replace a for-degree MBA program. For information on the UCCS MBA/MSA programs, please visit the Graduate School of Business Administration page.

Does this program count as college credit?

Participants will not receive college credit for the program.

What is included in the program cost?

The program cost includes:

  • All books, program manuals and course materials 
  • A light meal and refreshments during each evening class
  • All program apparel  
  • Networking with peers for the opportunity to build lasting relationships beyond the program 
  • Ongoing business faculty support at no charge throughout and beyond the Mini-MBA program 
  • Professional headshot photos upon completion of the program 
  • Discounts on all future executive education programs through the UCCS College of Business.  
What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that professionals occasionally have changes in plans or schedules that will result in their not being able to attend the program as planned. If you wish to cancel and receive a full refund, you must submit your request in writing via email to execed@uccs.edu at least 30 business days prior to the program start date.
