Bachelor of Innovation (BI) in Business
About the BI in Business
Business sits at the intersection of creativity, skill, and leadership. UCCS developed the Bachelor of Innovation (BI) in business to meet the global needs of innovative thinkers. This unique program focuses on bringing together students with complementary skills and interests to work on projects for real companies or for their own entrepreneurial pursuits. As students progress through the program, they learn about their interests and can specialize their degree with one of 12 different business emphases.
Program Requirements: A minimum of 120 semester hours of academic credit is required with courses taken in general education, general business, innovation, and a cross-disciplinary area of interest. Candidates for the Bachelor of Innovation in Business Administration must complete 24 credits of the Innovation Core, and 45 minimum credits of general business coursework. BI students must complete one 15-credit Cross Discipline Core. Students may also request a custom cross core. Speak to your advisor about declaring your cross core. A minimum of 45 credits must be upper-division (3000 or 4000-level) coursework.
Transfer Credit: A maximum of 60 credit hours of appropriate academic credit taken at a junior or community college may be applied toward the undergraduate degree in business. The College reserves the right to disallow any credit that is not appropriate for academic degree credit.
