Educator Development Opportunities for Military and Retiring Federal Employees

Transitioning military members or retiring federal employees will be provided with free pedagogical training to help them prepare for future careers in cybersecurity higher education teaching. Any qualified transitioning Military Personnel or retiring Civil Service/Federal employee can take Faculty and Industry courses and workshops free of charge. To qualify for the Faculty or Industry courses, you must have a PhD prior to beginning the courses. To qualify for the Graduate Certificate Courses, you must be in the process of earning a Master’s degree or PhD in Cybersecurity. Eligible applicants will obtain cybersecurity certification, access to degree programs, scholarship opportunities and career guidance.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Exiting or in the process of exiting the military prior to the beginning of class
  • Retiring or in the process of retiring from Federal employment prior to the beginning of class

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs also offers a Cybersecurity Management Certificate and participants may qualify for $5000 in grant funds to be used toward the tuition of the certificate (four courses; nine months).
