About the Program

Entrepreneurship Emphasis
The Entrepreneurship Emphasis is designed for students who want to take initiative and turn ideas into viable ventures. This emphasis focuses on action and decision-making in uncertain environments, helping students learn how opportunities are identified, evaluated, and pursued.

Through applied coursework, students develop practical skills in customer discovery, opportunity assessment, and value creation. Emphasis is placed on testing assumptions, interpreting feedback, and making informed trade-offs as conditions change. This emphasis prepares students to launch startups, contribute to family or small businesses, support innovation within established organizations, or pursue social and mission-driven ventures. Graduates gain a practical foundation for moving from ideas to execution with clarity and purpose.

Focus of Study

The Entrepreneurship program provides a structured path for students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Business with an Entrepreneurship emphasis. While the specific order of courses may shift based on availability, students progress through the curriculum in a traditional freshman‑to‑senior sequence to ensure steady development of foundational, core, and advanced entrepreneurial skills. Along the way, students learn to navigate prerequisites and build on the knowledge gained in earlier coursework.
