Dr. Jenifer Robertson is an Instructor in the Bachelor of Innovation™ (BI) at UCCS.  Over the last 30+ years, Dr. Robertson has built a successful career in Information Technology and is especially skilled at leading executives, technologists, and delivery organizations to get projects off the drawing board and into the marketplace.  She strongly believes in delivering the value in the vision and has led countless technology and process implementations for clients in Transportation, Education, Telecommunications, Entertainment, and Manufacturing.  In her work on Solutioning teams, Dr. Robertson has managed proposals ranging from $50,000 software implementations to $50M Data Center modernization programs.  Prior to joining UCCS, Dr. Robertson was a Senior Program Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise where her responsibilities included Agile Coaching and Program Leadership; turnaround management in HPE’s Critical Situations team; management of technology teams in the US, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and India; North American software services leadership for an $18B international telecommunications client; and organization leadership of 300 technical and support staff.  As a consultant, Dr. Robertson guided education technology implementations including a grade 6-8 math tutoring platform and an industry-leading internet-based enrollment, attendance, and financial management platform for K-8 before-and-after school programs in 400 public school locations nationwide.  In addition to several years as an independent consultant and small business owner, Dr. Robertson is also a veteran of the late 1990s dot-com boom, when she was a key contributor in a CTI/IVR technology start-up.

Dr. Robertson is Project Management Professional (PMP) and ScrumMaster (CSM) certified and is a recipient of Hewlett Packard’s 2012 Most Valuable Player Award, given to the top 1% of HP employees.  She received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy from the University of Colorado in 2015 and holds an MS in Industrial Engineering, Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MA in Communication Theory from Wichita State University, and a BS in Computer Science and Information Systems from Friends University.
