The UCCS College of Business offers multiple opportunities to travel, study, and explore with faculty across European destinations. Ideal for first-time international travelers, language students, individuals with limited time and/or travel expenses, or those with an interest in Europe. Available for credit or non-credit seeking undergraduate and graduate students.

Course and Credit Information

3 credit Germany Study Abroad classes for undergraduate (INTB 4613) and MBA (INTB 6993). Military student friendly. Students can opt to participate in the program not for credit. Priority acceptance will be given to those students seeking credit.

Eligibility

All students must be able to meet 3 times prior to start of the trip. These trips are welcome to undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate students must be second semester Freshman or above to enroll.  

Dates and Itinerary

  • March 21st: Depart for Cologne
  • March 22nd: Arrival in Frankfurt, Train to Cologne 
  • March 23rd: Cologne City Tour, Welcome Dinner
  • March 24th: RheinEnergie Soccer Stadium, Chocolate Museum tour
  • March 25th: Visit to Brussels European Parliament, Sightseeing
  • March 26th: Visit to Bonn, Tour of Haus der Geschichte, Evening with UPS at Cologne-Bonn Airport
  • March 27th: Visit Bayer Chempark, Campus Tour of Cologne Business School, Participate in CBS Country Night
  • March 28th: Trip to Brühl Castle, Tour of Brauwelt Köln Brewery
  • March 29th: Free Day
  • March 30th: Return to U.S. 

Cost and Payment Estimate For the Trip

Estimated Total Program Cost: $1,817

The estimated total program cost breaks down as follows:

  • $317 International Affairs non-refundable Education Abroad registration fee (due December 1st, 2024)
  • $1,500 program fee (non-refundable payment due to Cologne in 2 payments, dates TBD)
     

    Included in the program fee are the following items:

  • ​​Hotel and ground transportation
  • Meals listed on the itinerary
  • Entrance fees to any sites listed on the itinerary
  • Travel medical insurance

NOT included in the program cost are: 

  • UCCS tuition (if taken for credit)
  • Additional meals
  • Tipping and personal spending money
  • Round trip flight to Germany (estimated at $1,200)
  • Travel/trip protection insurance
    **Please note that students seeking credit will be billed tuition on their UCCS account at their regular student rate for the term.**

All housing accommodations are in a 4-star hotel with breakfast provided. The hotel offers internet access, double occupancy rooms, and dining facilities.

Health and safety are paramount to a successful experience studying abroad. We encourage students to research health and safety considerations of the destination they wish to travel to. The  U.S. Department of State (DOS) and the  Centers for Disease Control (CDC) provide up to date and comprehensive information about health and safety abroad.   • May 26th: Day trip to Brussels, Guided Walking Tour, EU Parliament Tour
  • May 27th: Half-day Visit to Palace of Versailles, Industry Visit in Paris
  • May 28th: Company visits, Visit to Musée des Arts et Métiers
  • May 29th: Day-trip to Reims, Maison Mumm, Reims Cathedral, Palais du Tau
  • May 30th: Meet with Paris City Government Official About Sustainability, Scavenger Hunt
  • May 31st: Free day in Paris, Group Farewell Dinner
  • June 1st: Return to the U.S.
