With the only 30-credit General MBA in Colorado, 10+ specializations in business, online and in-person course delivery, and 8-week and 16-week class options, we believe in a personalized, tailored approach to learning. According to US News & World Report, the UCCS MBA program was ranked at #85 for 2022 Best Online MBA Program. We were also ranked as #58 2022 Best Online Business MBA Program for Veterans. Additionally, we were named one of the top three in the state of Colorado for both MBA and MBA programs for veterans. 


Focus of Study

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is devoted to the concepts, analytical tools, and communication skills required for competent and responsible management. The management of an enterprise is viewed in its entirety and within its social, political, and economic environment.

The MBA provides a broad curriculum preparing you for a variety of options in launching your career. All majors are welcome--our MBA program is designed to meet the needs of students with or without previous business education.

Description
MBA with Specialization

Students may pursue a specialized MBA tailored for a specific career in mind. Those pursuing the MBA with an emphasis will complete 24 credits of core classes and 12 credits of specialized business electives.

  • Flexible timeline: 18 months - 3 years
  • Evening and Online classes
  • Part-time and Full-time
  • Fall, Spring, or Summer start
  • 10 specializations to choose from:
    • Accounting (Campus)
    • Cybersecurity Management (Online)
    • Finance (Online)
    • Healthcare Administration (Online)
    • Innovation (Campus or Online)
    • Management (Campus or Online)
    • Marketing (Online)
    • Project Management (Online)
    • Space-Cyber Enterprise Management (Online)

30 Credit Hour MBA

The 30-Credit Hour General MBA provides a broad curriculum preparing you for a variety of options in launching your career. MBA students pursuing the General MBA program will complete 24 credits of core classes and 6 credits of business electives. Select the "general emphasis" on the application.

  • Flexible timeline: 12 months - 3 years
  • Evening and Online classes
  • Part-time or Full-time
  • Fall, Spring, or Summer start
  • Students may choose two MBA electives from any area including topics in Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and New Ventures, Human Resources, and more.
Graduate Certificates

Whether you already have an MBA and want to broaden your background in a specific field, are interested in just taking courses in a focused area or are interested in a starting point for an MBA, the Graduate Certificate program offered by the College of Business may be the perfect solution for you.

Admission requirements: Applicants must have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA from a regionally accredited institution to be considered for the Graduate Certificate Programs. 

Accelerated Masters

The College of Business offers a unique opportunity for highly qualified undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Arts in Technical Communication and Information Design program (TCID) and Bachelor of Women's & Ethnic Studies program (WEST) to pursue the MBA through the accelerated master's partnership. 

  • Students will complete the MBA General Program.
  • Time to completion may increase if students select this option.
