MBA & MSA Admissions

At UCCS we recognize that networking, classroom discussion, and teamwork are a huge part of the value in an MBA or MSA. Your peers in the program will impact your learning almost as much as the faculty and individualized efforts. Therefore, our admissions process is selective in an effort to maintain quality in our program and classrooms.

Admissions Process

  1. Academic Record

You will need to provide one official transcript from every institution of higher education ever attended, from which we will compute a cumulative grade point average. You must provide transcripts showing a conferred bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution prior to starting any MBA or MSA courses.

  2. Entrance Exam

Please submit an official score report for either the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).  Click here to see if you qualify for an exam waiver.

  3. Professional Experience

Although we do not require applicants to have a minimum amount of work experience, you will need to submit an updated resume. Students in our program have extremely diverse backgrounds in regards to undergraduate major, work history, and life experiences; this allows for variety, perspective and unique discussions in the classroom.

  4. Goal Statement

Tell us why you are interested in pursuing an MBA or MSA here at UCCS. How will you contribute to the program and what do you hope to gain? Tell us about yourself. This is your opportunity to address any strengths, shortcomings, or extracurricular activities that set yourself apart from other applicants.
