  • Dr. Thomas Martin Key

    Associate Professor of Digital Strategy and Marketing

    About Dr. Key

    Thomas “Martin” Key is Associate Professor of Digital Strategy & Marketing at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Dr. Key was originally trained as a cultural anthropologist before launching his own business in 2003. After nearly a decade, he went back to university and earned a PhD in Business Administration with emphases in marketing and strategy. His research primarily deals with digital and strategic marketing issues at the executive level and the study of marketing’s role in the firm. He has published in business and marketing journals including the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, the Journal of Marketing Channels, Business Horizons, and the Journal of Consumer Behaviour. He is a Daniels Ethics Initiative Fellow and Cybersecurity Fellow and frequently works with new startups as well as established firms to help them create plans to grow and create value for their customers.

    About Dr. Bluhm

    Dr. Bluhm is an associate professor of leadership and management, and serves as chair of the management department at the UCCS College of Business. By merging leadership experience with management science, Dr. Bluhm helps students and corporate clients apply proven leadership principles and develop a more effective leadership style. He has over ten years of experience teaching leadership in universities, and delivers leadership training and consulting within a variety of industries including health and fitness, foreign manufacturing, finance, fashion, healthcare, marketing, sales, and public sector. Dr. Bluhm's research expertise includes leadership, positivity, and ethics, and he has published multiple papers in top-tier journals examining how leaders operate and influence followers in extreme contexts such as crises

  • Dr. Tom Duening

    Associate Professor of Management; Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship; El Pomar Chair of Business and Entrepreneurship

    About Dr. Duening

    Dr. Thomas Duening is the El Pomar Chair for Business & Entrepreneurship, associate professor of management, and director of the Center for Entrepreneurship. He has nearly 30 years of experience in teaching entrepreneurship and running university entrepreneurship centers. Dr. Duening is well known for his advocacy of entrepreneurship as a life path, and for his research into human potential. In addition to having written 19 books on business and entrepreneurship, he also publishes widely on topics in management, organizational behavior, and positive psychology. Dr. Duening also has 36 years of experience as an entrepreneur. He started his first business in 1984 and has founded or co-founded nine other ventures since then. His latest project is the Colorado Springs Torch Grants, a venture fund dedicated to investing in sports, lifestyle, and performance companies.
