The Business Casual - March 2020

College of Business Students,

The COVID-19 situation has evolved rapidly at UCCS over the past week. There are currently no positive cases of the coronavirus from UCCS at this time, however, a few members of the campus community did have direct contact with a COVID-19 laboratory-confirmed case. These individuals were on campus last week.

For your safety, UCCS announced a full transition to remote learning that will be extended to the end of the Spring 2020 semester. Please reference the Chancellor’s update for information regarding remote learning, residence halls, the library, the Wellness Center, and other on-campus services.

Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we work to keep the campus community safe. Should you need support during this time of transition, please utilize the following resources:

  • IT: COBIT is available for technical support from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Please email cobit@uccs.edu if you need assistance.
  • Academic Support Center: The College of Business is offering online tutoring appointments for accounting, finance, statistics, and information systems. Learn more here.
  • Academic Advising: Reserve an online appointment with your advisor through Starfish or by emailing advising@uccs.edu.
  • COVID-19 Updates: For updates on UCCS COVID-19 changes on campus, go to www.covid19.uccs.edu.

We also recognize that this is a critical time to apply for summer positions and internships. The Career Development Center is an excellent resource during your job or internship search and application process. Please reserve an online appointment through Starfish or by emailing cobplace@uccs.edu. If COVID-19 conditions prolong into the summer months, the College of Business will still offer online courses. We are working diligently to develop the Summer 2020 academic schedule and we will be sending an update to you as soon as we can.

Whether by phone, email, Teams, or Canvas, your College of Business faculty and staff are here to support you and make sure you are successful during this remote learning period.

Best Regards,

Eric Olson, Interim Dean
