Cybersecurity Emergent Research Symposium

Nurture Developing Ideas in Organizational Cybersecurity

We are excited to announce the Cybersecurity Emergent Research Symposium (CERS) to nurture nascent ideas in the organizational cybersecurity context. CERS will provide students along with budding researchers a platform to present their cutting-edge research in cybersecurity. CERS is structured as developmental, involving engagement and feedback provided by nationally recognized cybersecurity experts. The research submitted may be at any stage of development. Work in progress should include steps required for completion and expected results. Our effort is to enhance the research productivity of participants through publications in cybersecurity journals and/or international conferences.

The CERS review committee will select up to 8 promising research projects for in-person developmental work at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Each of these 8 projects will be assigned an expert to mentor the manuscript development for publication. These papers will be eligible for rapid publication in Organizational Cybersecurity Journal (OCJ) by Emerald Publishing. There is no registration fee for the event. Travel expenses including lodging and meals for participants (one per team) will be provided/covered by the symposium. Additional team members may attend at their own expense.

Judges’ decisions are final. Submission is the intention of attendance at the symposium by one research team member. The symposium does not constitute publication and the submissions remain confidential.
