The newly renovated UCCS PGA Golf Management Swing Lab features an array of technological opportunities for the students to grow as both instructors and players of the game of golf. The lab features two hitting bays as well as an indoor putting green. The Foresight system allows students to hit balls indoor while studying ball flight and developing a deeper understanding of their game specifics. This includes practicing on the virtual range, playing rounds of golf at a virtual golf course, and a skills challenge to test all aspects of a student’s game. This system assists with personal game development as well as developing an understanding of specific golf metrics and influencers of ball flight.
We own a TrackMan 4 Launch Monitor, which involves even more metrics to include the analysis of club data as well as ball data during a golf swing. This technology, and the many metrics within it, have become industry standard for PGA Professionals, and is commonplace on all competitive playing tours as well as all teaching centers. We utilize various elements of TrackMan and test all students using this technology, to help them pinpoint ways to better their golf game.
Within the Swing Lab, there are two fitting stations (Edel Putter Fitting and Mizuno Shaft Optimizer), clubs for students to utilize, V-1 swing analysis technology, and other fitness and training tools. Students have access to the facility all week, and are required to log practice hours during certain periods of the school year. Students are constantly developing as aspiring PGA Professionals and in their personal golf game!
Students enjoy full membership at the facility, including unlimited golf and range used during the Fall and Spring semesters. It is also the home of our Player Development Program, in which you will learn to understand your game at a deeper level as you develop into an elite player.
