I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA where I received my Bachelor's Degree from Spelman College. Upon graduation, I entered into the United States Air Force where I served as a Space System Operator. While on active duty, I enrolled in UCCS MBA program and graduated in 2010. In 2015, I had a change in career and decided to enroll in UCCS MSA program pursuing my dream career as a CPA. In December of 2016, I completed the MSA program and passed my CPA exams.
What were the factors that led you to pursuing the UCCS MSA?
In determining my career change, I wanted a program that would prepare me to become a partner in an accounting firm, to pursue a career in finance or corporate management, to work in government, or even to become an entrepreneur. With UCCS small class size, exceptional faculty and affordability, I knew that the UCCS MSA program was the perfect fit!
How would you describe your experience as a student in the MSA program?
My experience as a student in the MSA program was stimulating and gratifying. I was continuously challenged while being molded by my professors into a future CPA.
What would you tell other young professionals if they asked you about pursuing an MSA?
Pursing an MSA from UCCS will open opportunities to a successful business career through personal attention, tailored education, individual growth, and active learning. UCCS has created a trusting environment where every student can get the help that they need, when they need it. Every student has the opportunity to improve their personal brand and became a better personal and professional version of themselves. Being a student in the MSA program allows for preparation and opportunity to meet for the building of successful futures.
