Student Veteran Organization
The SVO is a chapter of the Student Veterans of America, a national coalition of campus veteran support groups focused specifically on improving conditions and support for student veterans. The UCCS SVO provides veterans, military members, and their families with resources, support, and advocacy needed for student success during and after enrollment at UCCS.

UCCS is selected by GI Jobs magazine as a military friendly university and as a member of the Got Your Six Education Pillar Pledge. We are dedicated to providing support to our military affiliated students.

UCCS achieved the Gold distinction in the annual Military Friendly schools rankings for the ninth-consecutive year. Additionally, UCCS was again recognized in 2024 as a Top Ten school in the category of Large Public institutions, ranking eighth. US News & World Report also ranked us a 2023 Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans and a Best Online Business MBA for Veterans.
