2017 Lifetime Entrepreneurship Award
With a generous soul, an inquisitive mind, and a deep affection for her fellow community members, Lyda Hill has been integral to helping shape a variety of projects in Colorado Springs for the betterment of millions.
After starting one the world's most successful travel agencies in Texas, she became president of Seven Falls, "The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado," in 1970. Lyda went on to develop and construct the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center in 1995, which has been an incredible gift to the community, educating millions of visitors since it opened. These are just a couple of examples of Lyda's ingenuity, which she has used to help make the world a better place.
Today, she's the president of LH Holdings and is one of only a few single women to make the 2013 Philanthropy list and Forbes' 2014 list of the top 15 entrepreneurs who give back. We are honored to have Lyda Hill accept this year's award!
