  • What is your background?

    I was born and raised in Colorado Springs. I attended UCCS for my Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree at UCCS, I entered into the Master of Science in Accounting program. During my undergraduate program, I assisted a local industrial supplies company with Accounts Payable in addition to being the Teaching Assistant for the Chair of the Accounting Department and an Accounting Mentor. I also served as the President of the Accounting Honor Society.  In my graduate program, I interned for a national CPA firm, BKD CPAs and Advisors, and was offered a full-time job offer at the end of my internship. I gladly accepted the position and started as an Audit Associate after completion of my Master of Science in Accounting from UCCS.

  • What were the factors that led you to pursuing the UCCS MSA?

    The factors that led me to pursue the UCCS MSA is to expand my knowledge in the field of accounting and to acquire skills in methods that have developed in the accounting industry.

  • How would you describe your experience as a student in the MSA program?

    The MSA program at UCCS has been a phenomenal avenue for me to learn. With guidance from the world-class staff and faculty, I have been able to grow both as an individual and as an accountant.

  • What would you tell other professionals if they asked you about pursuing an MSA?

    The MSA program at UCCS equips young professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to have a successful career in the accounting industry upon graduation.
