More than 40 new faculty members joined UCCS this fall. Today, meet faculty members from the College of Business.


More than 40 new faculty members joined UCCS this fall. Today, meet 13 faculty members from the College of Business, College of Engineering and Applied Science, Kramer Family Library and the School of Public Affairs.

Thomas Aicher

Thomas Aicher, assistant professor, Sport Management. He was previously associate professor and assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati, and assistant professor at Northern Illinois University.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Polytechnic and State University, and a Master’s Degree and Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.


Magan Calhoun, instructor, Accounting. Calhoun previously served as a course instructor at Western Governor’s University, Online, and an accounting instructor at Austin Peay State University.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Austin Peay State University, a Master’s Degree from Belmont University, and a Ph.D. from Creighton University.


Stephen Ferris

Stephen Ferris, dean. Ferris previous served as the director of the Financial Research Institute and interim dean of the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri – Columbia.

He earned diplomas from both the College of Naval Command and Staff and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, a Bachelor’s Degree from Duquesne University, Master’s Degrees from the United States Army War College and the University of Pittsburgh, and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.


Wei Hsu

Wei Hsu, assistant professor, Accounting. He was previously an instructor and teaching assistant at the University of Texas at Arlington.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the National Taiwan University, a Master’s Degree from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington.


Greg Kuppenheimer

Greg Kuppenheimer, instructor, Finance. Kuppenheimer was as an instructor and adjunct professor at UCCS since 2015. He previously served as managing director at Deutsche Bank.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Bucknell University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.


Brad Monson

Brad Monson, instructor, Business Law. Monson was an adjunct professor at UCCS since August 2017. He previously served as an attorney for the Business Law Group.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree, a Master’s Degree, and J.D. from Brigham Young University.


Kimberly Swetz

Kimberly Swetz, instructor, Quantitative Methods. Swetz was previously a lead faculty member in mathematics at Colorado Technical University and an adjunct instructor at Pikes Peak Community College.

She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Biola University, a Master’s Degree from California State Polytechnic University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado Denver...
