Tatiana Bailey, director, UCCS Economic Forum, was recognized as the 2018 Business Leader of the Year during the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce Accolades Awards Luncheon Aug. 21 at the Antlers Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs.


Tatiana Bailey, director, UCCS Economic Forum, was recognized as the 2018 Business Leader of the Year during the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce Accolades Awards Luncheon Aug. 21 at the Antlers Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs. Erin Miller, a UCCS alumna with an undergraduate degree in political science and graduate degree in communication, earned the Young Professional of the Year Award.

Bailey, a nominee for the award in 2017, is the leading expert on the southern Colorado economy and serves as an economic development resource to local businesses and government. She was named one of the Women of Influence by the Colorado Springs Business Journal in 2016. Bailey routinely presents economic updates at regional and state business events throughout the year. The UCCS Economic Forum is the leading source of unbiased and rigorous information for the Pikes Peak region, and will host its 22nd annual forum Oct. 4 at the Ent Center for the Arts.

Miller is the director of business development for the Center for Technology, Research and Commercialization at the Catalyst Campus in Colorado Springs. Using her comprehensive understanding and experience in executive operations for an office of sponsored programs or office of research and technology applications, she and her team are building the framework for technology licensing opportunities to flow. Miller works on collaboration opportunities for the military, government, universities and businesses.
