Last Friday, a nearly sold-out UCCS Downtown held the first-ever “Business Breakfast Series @UCCS” session, hosted by the UCCS College of Business’ Office of Professional & Executive Development.
“The launch of the new Business Breakfast Series @UCCS was a big success,” said Shawna Lippert, director, Office of Professional and Executive Development. “Attendees from diverse industries and levels of responsibility made new connections and gained high-level business information over breakfast.”
The first session of the series, “Servant Selling for Revenue & Profit,” was facilitated by Dr. Andrew Czaplewski, Professor of Marketing and International Business, UCCS College of Business. For an hour and a half, participants engaged in an interactive session and discussion on how to develop a servant selling mindset. The session included actionable steps and takeaways to immediately apply to the workforce.
Each session will feature new topics, led by top business faculty and industry experts. Participants will enjoy a full catered breakfast, networking opportunities, and research-based business concepts applicable to their industry.
“Our intent is to offer convenient and short executive education programs before the workday begins,” said Lippert. “The feedback on this format from the first session was positive. We look forward to offering more sessions in the near future.”
The next “Business Breakfast Series @UCCS” will be December 7, 2018 from 7:30AM – 9:00AM at the new UCCS Downtown location. Event details coming soon.
